I too like short novels. I’ve tried to read long novels, but I always end up not finishing them. The only long novel that I’ve every read was Rain of Gold by Victor Villasenor. It drew me in since the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. It is very true what you said Dr. Semingson, it is important to bring text into your classroom that relates and is relevant to your students. That is the type of reader that I am. If it is not relevant to my life, I won’t read it.
I have the same couch!
